Bella Thorne says she and Zendaya were pitted against each other at 12 on Disney Channel's Shake It Up

Thorne told the Call Her Daddy podcast she and Zendaya, both 12 when Shake It Up began in 2010, were pushed to compete off set while playing best friends on screen. During a 2011 Good Luck Charlie crossover taping, they slipped to another set and talked it out. Thorne called the conversation "beautiful" — her first time hashing things out "woman to woman." Neither Zendaya nor Disney Channel has responded.
