Fleming's lost 1958 letter tells Bond artist: no 'American-shaped head and a duck's haircut'

Letters between Ian Fleming and Daily Express cartoonist John McLusky, lost nearly 70 years, surfaced via McLusky's son Sean, The Hollywood Reporter reports. In a 1958 note, Fleming warned against giving Bond "an American-shaped head and a duck's haircut" and commissioned a reference portrait to guide McLusky — Bond's first widely seen face, predating Connery's Dr. No by four years.
