Ted Lasso Season 4 builds on a women's-team thread the writers planted in the Season 3 finale

Season 4 of Ted Lasso, premiering on Apple TV+ on 5 August 2026, sees AFC Richmond launch a women's team. Co-creator Brendan Hunt told Variety the writers left the idea as a "breadcrumb in case they wanted to return" in the Season 3 finale, where Rebecca and Keeley first floated it. The Lionesses' 2022 Euro win inspired the revival.
