From football to GB vest in two years: Arminio named for World U20 Championships

James Arminio, a Gloucester sprinter who took up athletics in 2024 after switching from football, has been named in the GB & NI team for the World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon (5–9 August). He earned his first GB vest in summer 2025, barely a year into the sport. Coach Justin Smith guided the rapid rise.
