"Forgotten Spaceman" to World-Premiere at Locarno, Then Toronto

Elham Ehsas's short film "Forgotten Spaceman," backed by Ken Loach's Sixteen Films, world-premieres 9 August in the Pardi di Domani strand at the 79th Locarno Film Festival, then screens in Toronto's Short Cuts programme. The Afghanistan–UK production chronicles Abdul Ahad Momand, the first and only Afghan cosmonaut, who spent nine days aboard Mir in 1988. The Hollywood Reporter debuted the trailer on 5 August.
