Anthropic posted a "Research Engineer, Chip Design RL" role in San Francisco and New York, pointing to reinforcement learning applied to custom silicon. Google previously used RL floorplanning to beat human TPU layouts; Anthropic may follow suit. Samsung is under consideration as fabrication partner, per The Information. No chip design is committed.
