Miliband presses US to reopen Strait of Hormuz before first Rubio talks

Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband has urged the United States to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow shipping lane between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula. Free passage there, he said, is vital to easing cost-of-living pressures on British families. The appeal precedes his first one-to-one meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in Washington. Iran has halted most traffic through the strait.
