
V&A deputy director Tim Reeve appointed chief executive of English Heritage amid cuts and falling visitor numbers
Tim Reeve CBE, deputy director and chief operating officer of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London since 2013, has been appointed chief executive of English Heritage, the charity caring for over 400 UK historic sites including Stonehenge. He succeeds interim chief Geoff Parkin. Reeve inherits a workforce reduced by roughly 180 posts, visitor numbers down to 5.75 million, and no regular government funding since 2023.
