Arsenal agree £75m fee for Newcastle captain Bruno Guimarães

Arsenal and Newcastle settled on £75m for Bruno Guimarães after weeks of haggling between £60m and £80m. The Brazil midfielder, 28, told incoming Newcastle manager Matthias Jaissle at La Manga on Monday he wanted to leave. Guimarães, who lifted the 2025 League Cup, is due in London for a medical within days. Lyon receive around £7m from a sell-on clause.
