Edinburgh Television Festival to relocate to Greater Manchester in 2027 after 51 years

The Edinburgh Television Festival will transfer to Greater Manchester in 2027 after 51 years in the Scottish capital, Deadline reported on 5 August 2026. The 2026 edition, held in Edinburgh this month, will be the last before the move. Screen Scotland has commissioned former creative director Rowan Woods to explore a possible replacement festival in Edinburgh.
