Longmire regrets not walking Swans off over Goodes booing
Former Sydney coach John Longmire writes in his autobiography that he should have threatened to pull players off the ground if crowd booing of Adam Goodes did not stop. Longmire, who resigned in 2024 after 13 seasons, called the treatment "diabolical, almost unforgivable." Goodes was booed from 2013 after calling out racism, retiring in 2015. The AFL apologised in 2019.
