Armed Man Arrested Near Trump Golf Course Ahead of L.A. Visit

Federal agents stopped Jeanine John Taele, 38, photographing Trump's Rancho Palos Verdes golf course on August 4, 2026. Deputies found a loaded pistol. A later home search turned up body armor, an illegally modified AR-type pistol, and notebooks with what authorities called "concerning statements." Trump was due in Los Angeles that evening for an RNC event. The sheriff's department said no broader community threat was found.
