WGA Awards return to dual-ceremony format on February 13, 2027, after 2026 West Coast show was cancelled mid-strike

The WGA will hold its 79th annual awards on February 13, 2027, returning to simultaneous ceremonies at the Edison Ballroom in New York and the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles. The 2026 West Coast ceremony was cancelled a week before its March 8 date amid a strike by unionised staff against WGA West's management. The East Coast show went ahead.
