Palais de Tokyo's temporary office plan threatens eviction of Paris artist collective La Générale

Paris's Palais de Tokyo plans to relocate staff into the space of La Générale, an artist-run collective hosting 150 annual residencies, during its US$50 million renovation closing July 2027. La Générale's lease expires December 31; over 1,400 have signed a petition for renewal. The 14th arrondissement mayor says the collective was warned in advance. A Palais de Tokyo spokesperson says technical assessments are ongoing and dialogue remains open.
