Ben Davis Replaces Geno Segers as Hades in Hadestown Starting September 1

Ben Davis will join the Broadway cast of Hadestown as Hades beginning September 1, 2026, producers Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, and Tom Kirdahy announced. Davis replaces Geno Segers, who left the production permanently after old social-media posts reflecting antipathy toward trans people resurfaced on theater blogs. Segers never performed the role. Davis recently appeared in the Broadway revival of Ragtime.
