Sony Music names Stephanie Yu General Counsel

Sony Music has promoted Stephanie Yu to General Counsel and EVP, Business and Legal Affairs, overseeing the company's worldwide business, legal and governmental affairs, Music Business Worldwide reported on 4 August. Yu succeeds Julie Swidler, who departed in June after 18 years. Yu reports to Chairman Rob Stringer and COO Kevin Kelleher.
