RBmedia Acquires Boldwood Books, Linking Audio Giant to 231-Author Fiction List

RBmedia, one of the largest audiobook publishers, acquired UK independent Boldwood Books on 4 August 2026. Terms were not disclosed. Boldwood, founded seven years ago by CEO Amanda Ridout, reported £8.4 million in profit for 2025. The 30-employee house will operate independently, its 231-author commercial fiction list now tied to RBmedia's audio infrastructure.
