Major labels offer to drop Grande piracy case; ISP demands formal win and $4 million

Universal, Sony and Warner told the US Fifth Circuit on July 29 they would dismiss their piracy case against ISP Grande Communications with prejudice. Grande declined, asking the court to rule formally in its favour and award roughly USD $4 million in bond costs. The labels cited the Supreme Court's March 2026 Cox v. Sony Music ruling.
