Carrie Underwood Returns for 14th Year as Sunday Night Football Show-Open Performer

Carrie Underwood will perform NBC's Sunday Night Football show open for a 14th year in 2026, extending her record as the broadcast's longest-running open performer, Billboard reported on 4 August. Underwood took over the role in 2013, after Pink (2006) and Faith Hill (2007–2012). The 2026 version takes a rock-leaning approach to the theme "Waiting All Day for Sunday Night."
