Japan Named Country of Honour at 2026 Cannes Marché du Film

Japan is designated Country of Honour for the 2026 Marché du Film at Cannes, per TIFFCOM. The first Japan IP Market, co-organized by TIFFCOM and the Marché du Film in May, drew over 700 registrants for manga, novel and remake-rights pitches to overseas producers. The 2026 Cannes edition will feature the co-organized Japan IP Market as a new strategic gathering.
