Apple Removes Telegram From App Store Over CSAM — Again
Apple pulled Telegram from the App Store on August 4, 2026, after its review found child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Telegram removed the content, banned the user, and the app was restored that night. It is the second such removal since 2018. CEO Pavel Durov faces ongoing CSAM-related charges in France. Telegram says it removes millions of policy-violating items daily.
