EON Exits Stealth with $10.75M for Laser Satellite Network Aiming at Subsea Fiber
Endeavor Optical Networks, founded May 2026, emerged from stealth with $10.75 million in seed funding from General Catalyst and Andreessen Horowitz. The startup plans roughly 20 laser-equipped LEO (low Earth orbit) satellites providing dedicated intercontinental optical links at 2.4 Tbps aggregate throughput, directly competing with subsea fiber cables. A demonstration satellite targeting 800 Gbps to 1 Tbps downlink is slated for late 2027.
