Studio behind Netflix's FIFA World Cup game reportedly shuttered by publisher eight weeks after launch

Refactor Games, part-owned by publisher Delphi Interactive, reportedly laid off its entire staff after Delphi pulled funding roughly eight weeks after FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition shipped on 11 June 2025. Multiple former employees confirmed the closure on LinkedIn. The Netflix exclusive was built in six months and panned by critics. Neither Netflix nor Delphi has publicly commented.
