Federal judge blocks $110bn Paramount-WBD merger ahead of earnings week

A federal judge temporarily blocked Paramount Skydance's $110bn acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, which the DOJ cleared in June. Twelve state attorneys general and the Writers Guild of America argue the deal over-concentrates cable networks. A trial date is expected soon.
