TV showrunner Jill Blankenship lands first studio feature with Sony's 'Castle'

Sony Pictures has hired Jill Blankenship to write 'Castle,' a medieval action film from Chris Bremner's Unknown Quantity, per Deadline. Blankenship co-created The CW's 'Naomi' with Ava DuVernay and wrote on Marvel's 'Daredevil: Born Again.' Bremner, who wrote Sony's 'Bad Boys' sequels, produces with Jeff Arkuss. No release date or budget has been set.
