Met Costume Institute to stage solo Galliano retrospective in May 2027

The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute will open "John Galliano: Horizons" on 9 May 2027, running through 9 January 2028 — only the third solo show for a living designer. Galliano was fired as Dior creative director and convicted by a French court in 2011 for racist and antisemitic remarks. The exhibition will "address the derogatory conduct that fundamentally altered his career," per the Met's press release.
