Raducanu to miss 2026 US Open as Queen's breakthrough triggers stress fracture

Emma Raducanu, 23, will miss the 2026 US Open after a stress fracture in her right leg, sustained during the grass-court season, also forced her withdrawal from Wimbledon. The injury followed her biggest result since winning the 2021 US Open as a qualifier — a final at Queen's Club in June. Raducanu, ranked 49th, was only recently back on court in a protective boot. She is also absent from Great Britain's Billie Jean King Cup team for late September, with no confirmed return date.
