Final Fantasy 7 Revelation will conclude the trilogy's story in the base game, no DLC required

Director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed Final Fantasy 7 Revelation's base game will "definitely" conclude the remake trilogy's story, requiring no DLC to see the ending. Any future DLC would be a character-focused spin-off, not a story continuation. The trilogy began with Final Fantasy 7 Remake (2020) and continued with Rebirth (2024). Revelation was announced on 5 June 2026.
