Green Day's 'Nimrods' Film Opens in Cinemas 14 August

Green Day's road-trip comedy "Nimrods," written and directed by Lee Kirk and produced with Live Nation Studios, opens in cinemas on 14 August via Inaugural Entertainment, with special screenings from 11 August. The band appears as themselves. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool told Billboard the plot draws on real pre-fame incidents: a van robbery in New Orleans, a stolen limo and a lost hand puppet named Gravy.
