Rival nations "competing for a silver medal" against Finucane, says former world champion

Former world points race champion Elinor Barker-Bates says rival countries are asking whether it is even worth trying to beat Emma Finucane, or whether they are competing for a silver medal, two years out from the Olympics. Finucane, 23, is the 2023 world champion and won Olympic team sprint gold with Sophie Capewell and Lauren Bell — the first British women's squad to claim that title.
