Ben McKenzie self-releases crypto documentary after every major streamer passed

Ben McKenzie will release his cryptocurrency documentary "Everyone Is Lying to You for Money" on Eventive on 22 August after no major streamer licensed it. McKenzie told Variety he believes streamers feared angering the Trump administration; the film's release coincides with reporting that Trump earned $1.4 billion in crypto-related income in his first year back in office. The Forge handled the limited theatrical run, which grossed roughly $150,000 domestically. The film holds a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
