V&A and Royal Museums Greenwich staff both vote to strike as UK museum disputes escalate
Prospect union members at the V&A East Storehouse and the V&A's three other London sites voted to strike over what the union called "Amazon-style" conditions. Royal Museums Greenwich staff separately voted to strike on 11–12 August 2026, with 77% backing on 90% turnout. General Secretary Mike Clancy said heritage-sector members "will not put up with it anymore."
