Square Enix blames "human error" for Kingdom Hearts art, but partial fix leaves fan-flagged issues intact

Square Enix told GameSpot the Kingdom Hearts Collection 1-3 promotional art was made "without the use of generative AI, and the issues resulted from human error." The updated asset fixes Donald Duck's hands but leaves the clock tower, chains and Sora's shoes untouched, per GameSpot. The collection releases on PC, Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 8, 2026.
