God of War TV series recasting Kratos, Atreus and Thrud for Season 2

Prime Video's God of War series will enter Season 2 without three of its lead actors. Atreus (Callum Vinson) and Thrud (Island Austin) are being recast for older performers aged 14–17, per casting calls, to cover a time skip adapting Ragnarok. Kratos actor Ryan Hurst tore his bicep on set in June, requiring surgery and reshoots of four filmed episodes. Prime Video unveiled the cast in February 2026.
