Josh Kerr wins Commonwealth mile in Glasgow two weeks after breaking world record

Josh Kerr won the men's mile at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on 1 August, clocking 3:54.12 and kicking clear with 250 metres left. On 18 July he had broken the mile world record in London with 3:42.66 — the first Briton ever to hold the mark. The record and the gold arrived a fortnight apart.
