Erik Poppe's Fosse-Screenplay Film "Beloved" to Open 54th Haugesund Festival

Erik Poppe's "Beloved" ("Kjærast") will world-premiere on Aug. 23 as opening film of the 54th Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund, running Aug. 22–28. Festival director Tonje Hardersen announced the selection. The film is based on the only original screenplay by Jon Fosse, Norway's 2023 Nobel laureate in literature.
