Sarajevo festival pairs Woody Harrelson honour with 'Welcome to Sarajevo' screening

Woody Harrelson will receive the Honorary Heart of Sarajevo at the 32nd edition (August 14–21, 2026), the festival announced on August 3. To mark the award, the festival will screen Michael Winterbottom's 'Welcome to Sarajevo' (1997), starring Harrelson. The festival was founded in 1995 while Sarajevo was still under siege. Bosnian actor Emir Hadžihafizbegović will also receive the honour.
