Newcastle sign Hornicek from Braga for £25.7m

Newcastle United have signed Czech goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek from Braga for £25.7m on a five-year contract after activating his release clause. The 24-year-old, who kept a Europa League-best seven clean sheets last season, is expected to replace Nick Pope as first-choice keeper. Sporting director Ross Wilson called his progress "remarkable."
