Kuwaki wins Women's Open after marshal's leg deflects Henseleit's tee shot in playoff

Shiho Kuwaki won the 50th Women's Open at Royal Lytham, her first major, on the second playoff hole after Esther Henseleit's tee shot struck a volunteer marshal's leg and ricocheted into gorse. Henseleit had forced the playoff with a 45-foot birdie at the 72nd. She made bogey; Kuwaki parred to win, giving Japan back-to-back Women's Open titles.
