Barco to Chelsea: 13th transfer between Boehly-owned clubs since last season

Chelsea signed midfielder Valentin Barco from Strasbourg on a seven-year deal on 2 August. It is the 13th transfer between the two clubs since the start of last season. Both are owned by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital — a multi-club model that has drawn scrutiny across European football. Barco, 21, is the second player to move from Strasbourg to Chelsea this summer.
