Phil Collins reveals he nearly died in 2024 from alcohol-induced organ failure

Phil Collins told the Sunday Times he nearly died in 2024 after alcohol addiction caused his organs to fail. Admitted to a Swiss hospital in November 2023, he was readmitted weeks later and placed unconscious in intensive care. "My kidneys were packing up, my organs were just seizing up," he said. His five children rushed to his bedside expecting final goodbyes. Collins spent seven months in hospital and has not had a drink since.
