Xbox Series X disc model now US$799.99 after third price hike in a year

On 1 August, Microsoft raised Xbox prices across the US, UK and Europe — its third increase in roughly a year. The US$649.99 Series X with disc drive now costs US$799.99, up US$150. In Europe the same model rose €200 to €799.99. Xbox blamed a "current components crisis," citing storage and memory costs up more than 2.5 times.
