Night Heat star Scott Hylands dies at 83

Scott Hylands, who starred as Det. Kevin 'O.B.' O'Brien on the 1980s cop series Night Heat, died on July 29 at age 83. His son Luke Hylands announced the death. Hylands had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in October 2021. Night Heat ran 96 episodes across four seasons on CTV and CBS from 1985 to 1989.
