Kerr wins Commonwealth mile in Glasgow two weeks after world record

Josh Kerr won the Commonwealth Games men's mile in Glasgow on 1 August 2026, clocking 3:54.12 at Scotstoun Stadium. The 28-year-old Scot broke the world mile record of 3:42.66 just two weeks earlier. Cam Myers took silver in 3:55.26; Timothy Cheruiyot bronze. The mile returned to the Games programme for the first time since 1966.
