'Fast Forever' dated for March 2028, Leterrier directing, to resolve 'Fast X' cliffhanger

Universal's Fast Forever is set for release on 17 March 2028, directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, The Incredible Hulk), per Variety. The next Fast & Furious instalment picks up threads left by Fast X, which grossed $704 million worldwide in May 2023 and ended on a cliffhanger with post-credit scenes teasing the returns of Gal Gadot and Dwayne Johnson. Screenwriter Michael Lesslie rewrote an earlier Aaron Rabin and Zach Dean script.
