Finucane becomes first Welsh woman to win three Commonwealth golds at a single Games

Emma Finucane won the 1,000m time trial at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 1:05.285, beating England's Sophie Capewell and New Zealand's Ellesse Andrews. The 23-year-old from Carmarthen had already won team sprint and individual sprint gold, making her the first Welsh woman to take three golds at a single Games.
