Avalanche on Broad Peak kills ten climbers; bodies recovered from 26,400-foot Karakoram peak

An avalanche struck Broad Peak, the world's 12th-highest mountain at 26,400 feet, on 30 July 2026, sweeping away ten climbers. All ten were confirmed dead and their bodies recovered, AP News reported. Six Nepalese and four other foreign climbers died, per Nepal's Prime Minister.
