Maresca loses first match as Manchester City boss on penalties to Inter in Hong Kong

Enzo Maresca's first game as Manchester City head coach ended in a penalty shootout defeat to Inter Milan after a 1-1 draw at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Stadium on 1 August. Benjamin Pavard scored for Inter; City levelled in normal time before Inter won from the spot. The friendly was part of City's Asia Tour 2026.
