Brentford break transfer record again to sign Sangare from Lens

Brentford signed Mali midfielder Mamadou Sangare from Lens for a club-record fee, surpassing the £42.5m paid for Dango Ouattara — their transfer ceiling broken for the second window running. Sangare, 24, joins on a five-year deal with an option for a further year. Head coach Keith Andrews said the club had tracked him for some time.
