Bournemouth sign Portugal defender Antonio Silva from Benfica for up to £25.7m

Bournemouth have signed 22-year-old Portugal centre-back Antonio Silva from Benfica for an initial £21.4m, rising to £25.7m with add-ons. Silva, who has 20 caps and featured at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024, replaces Marcos Senesi after his free transfer to Tottenham. He is Bournemouth's second summer arrival under new manager Marco Rose.
